Objectives

Phase1

-        Production of 50 thousand barrels a day of oil

-        Injection of 70 million cubic feet a day of gas

Phase2

-        Production rise by 160 thousand barrels a day of oil

-        Gas injection capacity rise by 280 million cubic feet a day

Phase3

-        Forecasting 80thousand barrels a day of oil production from Fahlian, Illam and Sarvak layers

 

Location

The field is located 30km north of khoramshahr and 100km southwest of Ahvaz city, along khoramshahr-Ahvaz Road.

 

Major Contractors

Phase1, 2: ENI Iran/NICO

Phase3: negotiation with buy-back contractors is under way

 

 

Executive Activities

-        Drilling of 3 delineation wells, 5 production wells and 1 gas injection well, and construction of a production unit with nominal capacity of 55 thousand barrels a day of oil along with all transmission pipelines and wellhead installations at first phase of the project

-        Drilling of 15 production wells, 3 gas injection wells and 1 disposal well, and construction of a production unit with nominal capacity of 165 thousand barrels per day of oil together with all flow pipelines and wellhead installations at second phase of the project

-        Implementation of feasibility study of phase3 by ENI company

-        Defining delineation stage of the project as well as preparing required document by using internal sources

-        Opting buy-back contractors to develop phase 3 of Darkhovain field

-        Confirmation date of contract : June 30, 2001

-        Production of 50 thousand barrels a day of oil: August 2004 

-        Oil Production rise by 160 thousand barrels a day: September 2010

-        Gas injection capacity rise by 280 million cubic feet a day: November 2010
