TEHRAN (PEDEC) – Touraj Dehghani CEO of Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) said that progress in Goreh Jask strategic project had been accelerated.
Dehghani said that so far the produced pipes by domestic manufacturers had been reached about 650 Km, 500 of which had been welded in the site and the executive operation is still underway.
He continued: In fact half of the pipes of 1000-kilometer project has been carried to the site and welded.
Mentioning the main part of this strategic project is pipe supply and piping, Dehghani added : since the required pipes to fulfill this project are necessarily pipes compatible with sour service and considering the last years of Iran’s Supreme Leader approaches to the national production and year of production leap , it was decided to make efforts to produce this type of pipes by domestic companies and manufacturers as well as other required goods for this project. Fortunately the domestic companies could make this happen last year and so we could gain self sufficiency in producing pipes compatible with sour service.
Gore-Jask Crude oil Pipeline Project is aiming to transfer 1mb/d of crude oil from Iran’s oil-rich west to Makran region located east of the Strait of Hormuz to be exported.
