Deputy managing director visiting Azar Oilfield
Seyed Nurodin Shahnazizadeh, PEDEC’s managing director and chairman of the Board, visited the Development Project of Azar Oilfield on Tuesday, March 07, 2017, on the eve of the early production from the field.
According to Petroleum, Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), visiting the shared Azar Oilfield, Shahnazizadeh said, “Azar Oilfield is one of the most challenging development projects in the oil industry due to its complicated reservoir and various low-pressure and high-pressure layers with a geologically hard drilling, but we will make it.”
He added, “An early production of 15,000 barrels of crude oil per day from this sharing field began with drilling of four wells and will reach a daily production of 30,000 barrels by April, 2017. Through construction of 130 kilometers of pipelines, the produced oil will be transmitted to Dehloran production unit, and then it will be exported.”
The sharing oilfield of Azar is located in Anaran Block in Zagros Cape along Iran-Iraq borderline (southwest of Ilam) between the cities of Mehran and Dehloran.
