Nowrooz Oil Field: Northwest of the Persian Gulf, 50 kilometers to the north of Soroosh Oil Field

Main Objectives

The reservoir capacity of Soroosh Oil Field is 7.5 billion barrels of crude oil. Injection of water will reward 500 million barrels of producible oil. The reservoir capacity of Nowrooz Oil Field is 1.9 billion barrels of crude oil, whose producible oil would be 550 million barrels.

The project aims at producing 190,000 barrels of crude oil per day, 100,000 barrels of which from Soroosh Oil Field and 90,000 barrels from Nowrooz Oil Field. Before the final development, within 24 months after the effective date of the contract, production from Soroosh Oil Field would be 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

Main Activities

Total daily production of 190,000 barrels of crude oil (100,000 barrels from Soroosh Oil Field and 90,000 barrels from Nowrooz Oil Field) through drilling of 10 oil wells and 2 water depletion wells in Soroosh Oil Field and drilling of 17 new oil wells in Nowrooz Oil Field
